If you are in the market for a new hybrid SUV, come test drive the 2018 MDX Sport Hybrid at Superior Acura. The MDX has something for everyone. This three-row crossover features AcuraWatch safety features standard on all MDX vehicles, which includes automatic emergency braking.

The Sport Hybrid version features SH-AWD and has the same basic layout as the NSX supercar. The MDX features a V-6 engine and an electric motor at one end and two electric motors at the other end. One of the electric motors powers the front wheels and the other two power the rear wheels. The gas engine powers the front wheels. The regular MDX features a 3.5-liter engine and the Sport Hybrid features a 3.0-liter engine. The Sport Hybrid also features cylinder deactivation.

The Sport Hybrid version makes 325 horsepower, which is 35 more horsepower than the regular MDX's 3.5-liter V-6 engine. A seven-speed dual clutch transmission backs the Hybrid version's three electric motors and gas engine.

The new model year features a new pentagon-shaped grille that is streamlined. It also features new LED headlights; and the fenders and hood have changed. You'll see some chrome on the rocker panels, new integrated dual exhaust outlets and a new rear bumper.

New standard safety features include lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning and forward collision warning. You'll be able to choose available Advance and Technology packages for the Sport hybrid version. Both of the packages feature the new Active Sport Suspension for better handling and performance; and both offer four driving modes including Comfort, Normal, Sport and Sport+.
